I was very involved in the schools where our children go to school and enjoyed it . I served for seven years on the Governing Body of the Primary and was the secretary. I also served on the Governing Body of Silverton High School ( 4 years ), I was the chairman of the Finance committee. I was instrumental in setting criteria recruitment of staff , lining up interviews and the employment of staff.
Our family likes to do many things together, love the outdoors, sports, music and enjoying each other. As a family we love to interact with other people.
I previously grew vegetables with great success and enjoyed to do that. In the period that I was at the CSIR, I also have a private nursery working from home. I also laid out gardens and provided the plants. Through the years I have been known for the variety of plants in my garden. When I was in high school, the garden and vegetable garden was my responsibility as my father was an expert in the field and given a lot of information.
