Filling the role of application DBA for a property valuation application; Acted as a key Oracle resource in the go live activities of this application; Responsible for developing and managing the refreshes of the production data to a testing environment and to a query environment; Supporting the IT staff coding efforts by reviewing their developed code and making recommendations as appropriate; Performing development tasks such as making corrections / adjustments / suggestions to vendor SQL code, PL/SQL code and Oracle 6i Reports; Developing new application reports; Liaising with the Government IT organization (CIO) DBA group with issues involving the implementation of the application, and in particular the DB, to the Government?s infrastructure; Working as a part of the team that liaised with municipal units to determine the best format for XML files and then re-writing the XML extraction process to move from a single file XML method to a multiple XML file format; Implementing DB table partitioning for large year based tables; and, Making tuning recommendations to the two vendors involved in the application.
