Main Job Functions
? Integrate mediation between transport logistics, warehousing operations, government authorities and monitoring of port operations to cater for prompt planning of resources.
? Planning on shipment files to ensure smooth coordination from collection to delivery points as well as conducting cost analysis to ascertain profitability and feasibility of operation.
? Coordinate and manage proposed scope of work as planned and improvise on solutions should any deviations occur. Ensuring stringent communication links with customs (local and international), suppliers, service providers, transporters and all relevant stakeholders within the supply chain.
? Costing, forecasting and invoicing of shipment files, liaising with suppliers, service providers, clients, internal / external stakeholders including middle / top management and 3rd parties in relation to operation.
? Compilation of operational / productivity and revenue reports for senior management based on data, statistics and information gathered from operational activities and providing quality service with the highest levels of integrity and ethics amount all stakeholders.
? Obtain tracking / status reports from service providers and keeping customers and management updated on service level agreements, (SLAs) which can be further improved.
? Accounting and reporting any broken bundles, pieces and damaged cargoes to customers / management for assessments or possible claim applications form responsible party(s).
? Sourcing and availing different truck configurations to accommodate customer requests based on the different types of cargoes, commodity values, high-risk theft commodities and nature sensitive cargoes. Calculations of truckloads for shipment consignments based on cargo specifications.
? Preparing management reports on weekly revenue forecasts, current trends, weekly haulage trip forecasts, expected shipment arrivals with disbursement forecasting outlays and reporting on customer credit limit availability.
? Sourcing lucrative freight rates from shipping lines, conducting bookings, coordinating cargo packaging and haulage for vessel export stacking at port terminals so consignments may reach international markets timeously.
? Compiling warehouse storage schedules on stock shipment based on agreed rates and escalation periods with clients as per SLA. Determining warehouse handling in / out tariffs dependent on the nature of cargoes.
? Reconciliation of interoffice invoices and statements through purchase order processing. Reconciliation of creditors? invoices and verifying description charges with backup documentation and PODs before coding invoices for payment.
? Requesting and following up on completed documentation from new suppliers and service providers as per company policy.
? Reconciliation of disbursement ledgers and ensuring all expenses have been accounted for to establish profitability on files. To account and provide reasoning for any variances between revenue and expenses on disbursement ledgers.
? Conducting meetings with clients and suppliers discussing process flows, rates and SLAs, with follow up of minutes in meeting to keep all relevant parties on par.
