A permanent position as business partner in my Fiancés Import Company. The company imports Fabric and Clothing that is then sold country-wide. The fabric is sold to designers and the clothing range to boutiques. Duties and Accomplishments ? Expanding the business ? Increasing revenue ? Implementing systems and controls Reason for leaving The business is growing quite fast but the growth is limited by the working capital that that must be re-invested to finance stock and debtors as turnover increases. I have given all my inputs in terms of structural and other changes and would therefore like to move on to the next challenge.

Part of due diligence study of Kafue Consortium ? acquisition of Zambian Copper Mines ? System migration implementation at Chambishi Cobalt plant in Zambia after acquisition ? Provided ICT inputs into feasibility studies for new mines ? Custodian of AVMIN and subsidiary ASSMANG?s IS Strategy. ? Master Systems Plan (MSP) prioritized by operation & linked to the 5-year budget. ? Integrated Systems design as blueprint for new mines ? ? As a member of management team Hannes was part of the strategic decision making process and a successful turn-around strategy (that resulted in two retrenchment exercises). Although there was on overall strategy each division operates in a different market and therefore the Boutek management team was responsible for the Division?s own strategy and the execution thereof. ? Introduced management accounting principles such as contribution margin approach and flexible budgets to measure performance. ? Management accounting, Financial accounting, month-end reporting, budget process, year-end, external audit, etc. ? Monthly reporting to head-office (i.e. against budget and business plan) as well as quarterly reporting against strategy ? Managed outsourcing contracts for desktop support and the Local Area Network (LAN) as well as Information and Communication Technology in general. ? Negotiated license, consulting and Service Level Agreements (SLA's) ? Risk management included both business risk and disaster recovery ? Both private sector income (50%-55%) and public sector income at CSIR is generated through consulting projects. As financial manager Hannes learnt a lot about project management principles and the day-to-day cost management using the in-house project management system (which included a budget and timesheet module), which was integrated to the financial system. ? Income was determined by milestones and deliverables reached. ? Progress was not measured based on time spent but rather on percentage complete.
