Career Goals
After matriculating from St Anne's Diocesan College in 2007 I spent a year in Australia as a Rotary Exchange student. I returned to South Africa at the beginning of 2009 when I began my studies of my undergraduate degree (BA Social dynamics) at Stellenbosch University. Whilst studying I worked part time at Waterford Wine Estate as well as working as a media assistant on the ABSA Cape Epic. In between my undergraduate degree (which I completed in June 2012) and my postgraduate diploma, I worked as a full-time live-in au pair looking after 2 little girls in Franschhoek. I recently completed my postgraduate studies (in tourism and events) at the University of Cape Town (UCT). Currently I am looking for a position in either the tourism or events industry as I believe that this is where my greatest strengths and passion lie. My dream would be to work for a company organizing tours or in a small private lodge. I am very good with people and am eager to learn. I would love to be involved with a company where I can gain as much experience as possible in my fields of interest as well as being able to put to use the great knowledge that I have gained from my postgraduate diploma at UCT. I am a diligent, enthusiastic and hard working young lady, eager and quick to learn in addition to being very reliable. I am passionate about my country and sharing my love for South Africa with those visiting this beautiful country that I call home. Rotary exchange as well as my work on Waterford Wine Estate exposed me to individuals from across the globe and I take great interest in learning about their cultures and country as well as sharing stories of my own. I plan to learn to speak German in the near future. My education has done well to educate me in the fields of Marketing, Psychology, Business Management, Effective People Practices and working with Microsoft computer programs.
