Infrastructure Management Scheduling
Compiles schedules of candidate projects for the
maintenance and rehabilitation of roads,
structures, stormwater, lane marking, signs, street
furniture, parking areas, rivers, fences, guardrails,
etc in the relevant District under the supervision
of the PPO:IM, by ensuring that prioritized
maintenance and rehabilitation projects will be
properly implemented district- wide.
Infrastructure Management Implementation
Implements Maintenance and Rehabilitation
projects as an infrastructure manager, by
ensuring that Transport, Roads & Stormwater
Infrastructure is effectively maintained and/or
enhanced by efficient service providers with
minimum disruption of service
Project Management
Implementing projects for the provision of new
and/or upgraded infrastructure for Transport,
Roads and Stormwater, as well as Spatial
Planning, by ensuring that new and/or upgraded
infrastructure is delivered on time, within budget
to the agreed standards
Impl. Of Special Focus Programme
Participate in the formulation and implementation
of special programmes such as stormwater winter
preparedness, by ensuring effective management
of risk in terms of people, property, the economy
and the natural environment.
Input into Development Approvals
Provides Roads & Stormwater input and guidance
into Development Approvals, by ensuring that the
City inherits sustainable infrastructure from
developers.
Wayleaves and Permits
Facilitates the issuing of wayleaves and permits
to Service Authorities and Contractors requesting
the right to work on or in close proximity to Roads
& Stormwater infrastructure, by ensuring
minimum disruption and/or compromising of the
structural and functional integrity of the Roads &
Stormwater infrastructure/assets.
Procuring Services from R&S Depots
Assists the PPO:IM in coordinating the Depot's
portion of the District Infrastructure
implementation plans, by ensuring that the district
receives the agreed levels of service at the
agreed rates from the depots.
