I work as part of the inbound supply chain team ( of 4) at Makro as the newest addition to the team, whilst studying a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. I'm currently assigned to one project, closely associated with data, it's analysis and processing, through the development of an Microsoft Excel model. I've had some experience in CSR, closely working with the marketing team.

Research, warehouse and marketing Assistant

Austell Laboratories

December 2015 to January 2016

A total of six weeks of work experience was undertaken from the 7th of December 2015 to the 29th of January 2016 at Austell Laboratories (Pty) Ltd. In Crown Mines, Johannesburg. Work was assigned in three different departments, namely: research; warehousing; marketing and sales, of which two weeks was spent in each discipline. Simple tasks were assigned in all three departments in order to gain an overall appreciation for the inner-functioning of the company. During time spent completing tasks within each of the three departments, common problems faced in each department were experienced. These were presented as project work and subsequent procedures to find solutions were observed and participated in.

Career Goals

I have always had a strong passion for optimizing all aspects of my life - I always seek to get the most value out. In part, this is why I decided to study Industrial engineering. I wish to pursue a career that presents such opportunities to optimize, and improve the efficiency of any respective processes. I enjoy problem solving and I have a keen interest in the world of wealth management. I believe that I can add value, regardless of the context. I am ambitious and therefore would like to gradually advance into higher management positions if the opportunities do present themselves. I would be humbled by the opportunity to begin my journey with you.
