REGIONAL MANAGER FOR IMPERIAL BANK. I moved from NIC being given the prospect to manage a whole region ? this would bring in to play all aspects of banking I had accumulates thus far; It was an opportunity to gain vital experience which I could not refuse. I would be using all my managerial skills to manage over 30 staff, plus build the business using skills attained from wealth management from Citi Bank as well as lending from NIC. This role is amazing, as I manage the whole region and it is my sole responsibility to manage every aspect of the bank from building maintenance, fire/safety audits to keeping the staff well motivated and most importantly - grow the profits of the region. Since I came to the region, the profits have doubled from last year and it all boils down to how one manages the staff and clients. Once the staff is happy ? this will translate to profits for the institution. Ownership is the one key element which guarantees business success.

? Working as per Prudential Guidelines by CBK.
? Abiding to Anti Money laundering rules and regulations.
? Regular reporting to the board.

Career Goals

I am a Kenyan citizen, having returned from the UK. In the 12 years I spent in the UK, I achieved a BEng (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering, 2 Masters Degrees (MSc. & MPhil.) in Telecommunication & Engineering, and 3 British National Gold Medals in the Army for Shooting.
I currently am the General Manager at Roy Transmotors, preceding the role of the Regional manager of Imperial Bank (I had to move on due to the back going under receivership). This role involves the total management of the company from the driver logistics to repairs and business development.
My thirst for achievement is deep seeded, and has been cultivated from childhood. This ardour was further given direction and discipline from having spent nearly 7 years in the British Army; where as mentioned above, the pinnacle was achieving 3 consecutive National Gold medals in the Bisley National British Army Championships.
I have learnt to welcome challenges as opportunities, and embrace change. I am looking to now give back to society. My original field of expertise is engineering but I have gained vital managerial experience in from various sectors to my current high level managerial position. I have honed my skills in business development, project management, leadership as well as gaining a fuller understanding of various financial implications and business analysis. I feel these all can help me function well under pressure and more efficiently. I am now looking for job satisfaction and this I feel will come by doing something which makes one feel good inside.
In my spare time, I also offer my expertise as a consultant in swimming and lifesaving on a voluntary basis to the Kenya Air force, UNEP and Kenya Lifesaving federation. I teach under privileged children swimming at the YMCA as I want to add value to them. I am keen on conservation of wildlife and am an active member of KWS voluntary groups and Friends of the Nairobi National Park.
