To implement and maintain an effective program and ensure compliance to satisfy the requirement of local legislation e.g. the OHS,COID and construction regulations act. * Implement systems to ensure all employees comply with all relevant legal safety requirements. * Assist in identifying safety training needs and to Ordinate safety training courses and prepare training material where appropriate. * Co-ordinate the daily safety meetings/toolbox talks. * Assist in appointment safety representative. * Communicate changes in safety and environment legislation to the construction manager * Conduct surveys and audits as required to identify and minimize the risks to the company and employees. * Identify unsafe acts, conditions and hazards, investigate root causes. * Identify corrective preventative actions and report to the construction manager and safety Manager * Co-ordinate evacuation exercises to ensure that all stuff become familiar with the procedures.
