? Timeously follow up on all outstanding Action Plans to address PFMA reported issues and identify root causes to reported PFMA items
? Roll-out PFMA Training in Transnet Freight Rail and Business Units
Audit findings:
? Ensure that all Audit Findings are correctly assessed to identify control weaknesses and to ensure that controls are strengthened accordingly
? Work with internal audit to ensure that all findings are properly addressed and closed
? Follow up on the progress status of all internal and external audit findings on the Issue Tracking Management (?ITM?) tool
? Proper reporting on the status of internal/external audit findings in Transnet Freight Rail
? Submit timely, quality reports to relevant stakeholders
Payment verification:
? Obtain invoices
? Accurate verification of invoice for payment of R500 000 to R2m
? Effective and accurate finalization of administrative duties
Delegation of Authority:
? Compile Delegation of Authority for Executive Manager and Managers for finance department.
? Resolving issues of non-compliance
? Ensure that all Delegation of Authority are up to date and are signed by management
? Provide training on Delegation of Authority to ensure compliance
Control Self-Assessment:
? Oversee the process of completion the Control Self-Assessment (CSA) Tool
? Provide guidance to new Process Owners (Users) on the use of the Control Self-Assessment tool
? Maintain the Control Self-Assessment database to ensure that controls are properly allocated
? Follow up on reasons for differences between the Control Self-Assessment tool and the Critical Financial Risks Controls with the Transnet Freight Rail process owners
