Roles and Responsibilities
? Able to Visualize, Communicate, Good telephonic skills, Logic, Imaginative, Accurate, and work well under pressure.
? I provide effective technical hardware and software dedicated support for Eskom.
? I execute operational activities in support of the customers within the complex.
? Update logged calls daily
? Escalate advance calls that have to do with network ops, server support.
? Liaise with information management for any non-standard software installations, new pc replacements and devices that needs to be serviced by external vendor (mustek).
? I do afters hours standby support for PLATINUM (24/7) customers at control room.
? I configure, trouble shoot hardware devices like Laptops, Tablets, Printers (offline, online & Plotters) & Desktops.
? Setup and configure laptops, tablets, desktops and printers.
? I perform software installations, fault finding and pc maintenance.
? Occasionally log calls within our service desk and always log calls with our external hardware suppliers like mustek.
? Ensure that users are serviced & Resolve calls within SLA.
? Rebuilding/ imaging pc, Samsung slates, & laptops.
? Deploying software installations via SCCM, Remote to pc?s.
? Complete IMACDS forms, or touch each hardware devices with FSE tools.
? Tag all hardware devices that are not Eskom standard or Group IT Bought
? Update CMDB via FSE tools.
? Perform IT asset and audits
? I train upcoming FSE interns and new employees.
? Support Cisco phones
? Able to work both on my own an in a team, to make important decision
