Reviews the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) reports daily, validates the output for accuracy and initiates corrective action for discrepant issues. Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy. Confer or correspond with appropriate persons to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or non-conformance to spec issues. Interface with Purchasing to resolve due date and shortage issues prior to work order release. Manages the work order process to include revision control, material availability, work order release, start and completion date maintenance, material allocation changes, labor requirements, material and labor variance analysis, and released BOMs and routers. Assist in report management and execution, work order prioritization and schedule management. Assist in generating production schedules and capacity load schedules. Notify the Operations Manager when available resources do not support the production plan (MPS) or meeting the contract date is at risk. Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands. Performs other duties as assigned by Management
