Conducting regular internal audits and reviews to assess the compliance of departments and individual employees. For instance, reviewing processes and records to see that accountants are operating in line with generally accepted accounting principles, laws, banking and company standards. The results of the reviews are shared with managers to aid in feedback, training and development to ensure greater overall compliance.
? Training and Development; another role as audit, control and compliance officer played is to address specific training and development needs to fill compliance gaps. As a result of comparing department

and employee activities to prescribed standards, the officer identifies specific gaps. He then meets or communicates with the CEO, division or department managers to advise them of necessary training to bring the company, a department or particular employees up to speed on compliance standards. New government/BOG regulations sometimes necessitate additional training.
? Responsible for evaluating design & effectiveness of Compliance function.
? Audit of new management areas to evaluate internal control system.
? Audit/review operational areas for stewardship of resources & compliance with established policies & procedures. ? Review internal administrative & accounting controls to safeguard resources & ensure compliance with laws & regulations.
? Participate in manual & automated system design as an adviser on internal controls
? Investigate occurrences of fraud, embezzlement, and theft, waste and recommends controls to prevent or detect such occurrences.
? Provides monthly, quarterly and yearly reports to board of directors through the audit, control and compliance manager.
? Perform Special audits/reviews requested by the CEO or management. ? Annual risk assessment of compliance issues with input from key operational areas and key management positions.
? Identify high-risk areas, and: designate responsible party, assist area in developing monitoring plan and also assist area in developing specialized training.
? Monitor high-risk areas implementation of their monitoring plans by testing transactions and reviewing procedures.
? Develop policies & procedures from implementation of TSM zigloi privacy regulations.
? Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.
? Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues.
