September 2014 to August 2015
? To use the Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility (AMS), Anisotropy of Anhysteritic Remnant Magnetization (AARM) and Micro computed Tomography (µCT) to determine the magnetic mineralogy and fabric of the rocks from the Foy offset dyke which serve as an indicator for ore mineralization.
? Simultaneously working on a similar project to investigate the magnetic mineralogy of the Two Duck Lake gabbro and related mineralized intrusions of the Marathon Cu-PGE deposit within the Coldwell complex, with participation in a downhole magnetic and IP resistivity survey on site. This research also makes use of magnetic and IP resistivity measurements on core samples as an analogy to the downhole magnetic/IP resistivity measurements.
? Also worked on existing drilled core samples from Labrador in Canada provided by the company Aurora to determine their magnetic susceptibility, bulk density, Natural remnant magnetization (NRM) and IP resistivity.
? Experience with Geophysical surveys, using a Ground penetrating radar (GPR), Electromagnetic (EM) methods of field surveying as well as Induced polarization (IP) resistivity surveys in case of highly conductive/resistive terrains respectively. Also experienced in downhole magnetic surveys at the Marathon deposit using a 3 fluxgate magnetometer and the interpretation of its 3 magnetic components to generate a model for the Two duck lack gabbro deposit
? Evaluating oil and gas potential through the use of Geoscout and other softwares.
? Using ArcGIS to integrate spatial information for environmental resource planning in Sudbury from ariel photographs
? Surficial image editing for geocoding, georeferencing and digitizing maps for a project on the most economic pathway for the Keystone pipeline and its terrain modelling.
? Using softwares like Coral draw, Adobe photoshop CS2, and ArcGIS to edit images and provide graphical representations for image interpretation.
? Working with wireline and lithologs, production data collaborated with engineering parameters, data acquisition for laboratory analysis.
? Developed a new geophysical technique and tested it for mining/oil and gas exploration.
? Mapping stratigraphic units, selection of formation tops, defining oil/water and gas/oil contacts, field sampling etc.
? Analyzing core samples, ore grade calculations, core description, data validation/editing, Well log correlations
? Compiling and mapping available area well data to provide structural and isopach map interpretations.
? Monitoring Seismic data and using tomographic inversions through the use of MATLAB for inverting into acoustic impeadence for data interpretation.
