Career Goals

I have been in the transport and distribution industry for twenty five years. I am a Customer Services and Operations Manager for Imperial Logistics, the largest logistics company in Southern Africa. I am responsible for budgeting, finance, health and safety and all fleet requirements such as maintenance, servicing, tyres and all vehicle and warehouse related functions as well as total distribution. I have vast experience in 3PL logistics in a production and distribution environment and fully understand the requirements of OTIF. I set and score SLA`s as well as assist with BOP`s. My general functions are attached on the last page. I studied toward a BSc in Business and Transport management in the USA as well as taught international students in practical and theory of trucking and transport. I believe in being hands on and spend as much time as I can with all my staff to ensure the smooth running of the operation. I believe a manager must know all the ability`s and job functions of all employees to actively assist, motivate, mentor and be able to step in where necessary. My quarterly KPI scores are continually assessed as a ?strong Performer?. I have a strong IR and HR back ground and am frequently called upon to resolve disputes and chair hearings.
