As a Residential support worker for Life Without Barriers. In the past 2.5 years working with LWB I have had the experience and ability to build a rapport and work with the young people by supporting in daily living skills, Other responsibilities Include (Answering phones in a professional manner, Filing, Communicating with staff and clients on a daily basis, Giving Support to Team Leaders/ Managers/ clients, Providing a therapeutic environment for clients, Assisting with daily household chores within the residential home, Interacting with clients on activities, Taking clients away on excursions,
Provide general care, supervision and transport to children and young people in residential care within a therapeutic framework. Provide Family Contact supervision where required. Maintain and update CIRTS data as required. Monitor & maintain high quality documentation relating to care / case plans, progress notes and other documentation. Implement goals of care / case plans and document in daily shift reports and incident reports. This position has given me key employability skills while also allowing me to experience working in a professional and fast-paced work environment.
