Read blueprint measure iron cut it then tack it sometimes I would fit the iron as well. We were building boats front the blueprint from bulk heads bow the plot house. Weld jigs together so boat can be level while fabrication is being done and for safety reasons. I was move to outfitting where I use mild steel rods I can weld with any hand. Also operated man lift, folk lift

Weld skids together so that the Plat forms could be move to the barge on the water. Grind and fill. Cut iron and tack it. Sand blast and painted there also
