Responsibilities & Authority:
? Assist Head of Crewing Operation in all day to day operations (presently 7 vessels excluding those short-term charter vessels, new vessels takeover + 20 Car Carriers) including offshore and conventional fleets, follow up and communicate towards seamen/vessels/clients etc to ensure timely crew changes on board vessels
? Extent of assistance rendered subject to Head of Crewing Operation?s workload and best practices
? Assist Head of Crewing operation in the arrangement of meetings with clients and officers? briefing program
? In charge of communication with customer, vessels and additional parties related to the vessel assigned.
? Follow up all delegated work tasks to /Crew Officer / Crew Coordinator /Crew assistant in Arendal and delegated tasks to OSM recruiting offices outside OSM Crew Management AS.
? Be responsible for setting up crew policy and generating crew strategy
? Suggest improvement of existing practices to Head of Crewing Operation, Senior Management whenever invented and considered
? Ensure that the crew are qualified i.e meet the company and legal requirements with regards to certifications and experiences prior joining the vessel
? Plan and oversee crew schedule/travelling, crew rotation/matrix, sign on/off documentations, crew welfare
? Develop and execute crew feedback system, inclusive of performance appraisal
? Engagement of crew on all HR Matters (welfare benefits, talent spotting and performance management)
? Perform visits to the vessels and / or customers. Co-ordinate visits with Customer(s) and Vessel (s).
? Assist the P&I Claim Handler in cases covered under OSM P&I coverage or contractual agreed with the customer.
? Work closely with other manning agencies (worldwide) to ensure the needs of clients met with regards to crew requirements
? Liaise with Masters, port authorities, crewing management vendors and ship agents.
? Assist the Deputy Managing Director and/or appointed Budget Managers in the preparation with new budgets and contracts with Addendums.
? Other ad hoc duties as may be assigned

Administrative:
? Assist in full spectrum of Crewing HRM esp. in Compensation & Benefit, HRIS, Training and Performance Management
? Source and / or develop and deliver relevant training & development programs.
? Coordinate training schedules with the training demands of various departments - maintain systematic training documents and crew training records
? Coordinating schedules/meetings
