Responsible for periodic local HR strategy in African region including benefits programs, tax burdens, etc for local offices. Manage employee engagement and welfare, recruiting, onboarding for local staff, trainings for various functions as well as immigration support for expat staff for the Lagos, Nairobi and Dar es Salaam offices.
Responsible for coordination and local leadership of Lagos office and country warehouse. Vendor management ? negotiated several valuable contracts with 3PPs, supported zero loss for local warehouse (over the last 5 years), managed supply chain for West African region.
Responsible for local travel plans, visa requirements, work permits, etc. For staff in Kenya, Nigeria and Tanzania. Responsible for compliance with local regulatory requirements (including filings), account opening, meetings and filings for new products with regulator, design and implementation of local office policies (HR, Operations and Logistics), handle related tax and legal issues for 3 country offices, risk management review and practice implementation across East & West Africa region, etc
Supported HQ?s cross-functional teams including training of ERP users (admin) and business operations designs across 3 countries.
Asset management ? efficiently managed assets including purchase and disposal. Supervised 4 separate office building design and construction over a 5 years period.
