Give input into the Construction, Operations and Maintenance Section?s (Projects Section) annual budget.
Provide and deliver services effectively as per identified needs and planned programmes.
Plan and share with management own personal development.
Commit to performance management processes and related programmes by engaging management at frequent and agreed-on dates. Plan for daily, weekly and monthly activities to be performed.
Assist with the development of appropriate procedures to engender continuous improvement.
Prepare documents and present at tender briefings to ensure that prospective tenderers are acquainted with JW OHS requirements.
Draft OHS specifications and ensure the conduct of risk assessments for each new allocated project prior to tender advertisements.
Assist Project Manager (PM) by giving OHS input during design specification meetings.
Evaluate aspects of health and safety in the tender documents together with the responsible project manager and his/her team.
Evaluate and approve all OHS documentation (OHS file) (of allocated sites) submitted by the contractor.
Ensure the submission of close out reports before contractors finally leave their sites.
Ensure appropriate action is taken against non-compliance by Contractors
Manage all allocated company resources for use at/ for allocated areas / treatment works in a responsible manner.
Ensure Statutory Compliance and Administration. Conduct risk analysis and training Compliance audits and inspections.
Ensure the implementation OHSAS 18001 within allocated areas. Support the implementation of the NOSA system on allocated treatment works. Ensure compliance with the rest of JW?s quality systems ? at all allocated areas by the Projects section
