Position: French Teacher - Contract 9 months

Duties- Preparation and teaching of French lessons for a variety of subjects and levels, supervising, conducting and giving examinations, creating various learning resources such as audio CDs, flash cards, games, PowerPoints, DVDs, interactive internet-based activities.

Creation of a positive learning environment of the French language
- Year 6- (Two classes)- Teaching content knowledge such as basic French; numbers 1-20, days of the week, months, family, colours, Christmas
- Year 7- (Two classes) Teaching French language and grammar, topics such as school subjects, daily routine, telling the time.
- Year 8- Teaching French language and grammar, topics such as food, clothing, shopping.
- Year 9- Teaching French language and grammar. Topics included Quebec, Halloween, restaurant and food, street directions.
- Year 10- Teaching content knowledge and grammar such as reflexive verbs and topics such as daily routines, holidays, town and country.
Extra-curricular activities;
o Pastoral Care Teacher- House tutor for 15 students of all year levels included tasks such as supervising and organising Personal Development, birthdays, reading important notices.
o Attended Parent Teacher Interviews
o Umpiring school sports and participating in Sports Carnivals
o Attended Staff in-services, Staff Meetings, Language meetings, Curriculum meetings.
o Yr. 7 School Camp (Mount Tamborine) for one week, included leading and supervising bush walks, Thunderbird Park, bush dances, Tree Top challenges, Skirmish etc.
