? Define, develop and audit Safety systems, standards and work practices for CAPEX Projects across Africa to achieve Safety KPI?s. Ensure compliance to global safety standards through all project phases across all sites
? Provide safety expertise and support during the design phase of projects including compliance with legal requirements, engineering standards and safety specifications.
? Ensure employee and contractor safety during the execution phase of the project, through the appointment of project safety resources and management thereof
? Ensure the verification of design standards and compliance with legal, engineering standards and safety specifications
? Develop and conduct training in Safety across the Zone
? Analyze leading Safety KPI?s and implement interventions to improve
? Develop and maintain documentation such as SOP?s, as well as maintenance of manuals, policies and procedures as related to safety
? Coaching of regional resources on incident reporting and management, including root cause identification, preventative and corrective actions
? Conduct audits and reviews of sites related to the Safety Pillar and legal compliance
? Scope projects required to improve the Safety maturity including CAPEX and Zero based budget requirements
? Drive closure of investigations, safety gaps and legal compliance across the continent

? Management of the regional Capital projects portfolio as well as NPD (New Product Development) projects executed at the region. This is a portfolio of approx. 70 to 80 Projects per year. Ranging from Small to large projects.
? Manage regional SMDP (Site Master Development Plan) for the site. Chamdor brewery invested more than $100m in capacity expansion in last 8 Years
? Manage Regional team of 3 Project Engineers and project administrator
? Ensure projects are delivered to required quality specifications, on time, in budget and ensure correct project governance is followed at all times. Deliver average of 4 NPD per year (Fast track)
? Ensure the Capital budgeting process for the Region results in effective CAPIN business planning in the form of a regional 5 year plan and a CAPIN budget for the next year.
? Ensure that all Regional CAPIN projects are optimised and that the projects business objectives and KPI?s are achieved.
? Project Risk identification, qualification and Risk Management, Human Resources Management, ensure a safe, healthy and risk free environment.
? Manage CAPIN cash flow for the region.
? Coordinate and lead large regional projects.
Achievements
? Delivered Project cash flows for 10 consecutive quarters
? Reduced Brewery energy consumption from 11kWh/hl to 9 kWh/hl. More than $1m savings per annum.
? Successfully launched 12 new products with zero quality recalls and meeting all launch dates in 3 years
