- play a key role in effectively managing and coordinating officials in implementation of education policies to ensure transformation.
- involved in translating national policies into provincial policies.
- manage the delivery of the districts training programmes, plans and reports.
- conduct diagnostic and formative assessment and providing feedback of learners portfolios and work.
- conduct moderation in the five (5) districts within northern cape.
- facilitation of officials and educators in the province and districts on inclusive education programmes.
- conduct skills development in the province.
- ensure that all training data is captured timeously.
- facilitation of grade r practitioners on inclusive education and the identification of barriers to learning.
- identification, assessment and placement of learners with barriers to learning (cognitive, disability, environmental, learning and socio-economic).
- provide training reports to senior managers.
- direct oversight of the five (5) districts annual performance plans.
- actively involved in the identification and facilitation of training programmes .
- plan, implement, control and monitor approved changes to area of responsibility to respond to changes in the department.
- ensure operational plan is implemented .
- manage the efficient and effective utilization of resources. .
- optimise systems and processes continuously to ensure production efficiency targets and operational plans are met .
- liaise with unit head within a function to align operational requirements with training schedules .
- present and manage training interventions and undertake administrative tasks .
- provide relevant and specialized technical / professional support to relevant stakeholders to ensure achievement of objectives .
- plan, organize, lead and control activities to ensure objective are met or exceeded .
- develop, conduct, monitor and modify training courses .
- keep abreast of developments and trends in the fields.
- liaise with other governmental departments, e. G. Work closely with etdpseta for skills programmes for educators.
